KUNIGSGOROD - The Department of Culture of the Royal Kingdom of Trimblestan has selected Spamaroni has the national dish of the Royal Kingdom of Trimblestan. The Sovereign, His Majesty The King Andre I spoke of the Department of Culture's nomination, "Spamaroni is a wonderful dish and I am glad the Department of Culture has chosen this dish as our national dish. This dish is a centerpiece of any great meal with the necessary nutrition a Trimblestaner requires. It is full of protein, carbohydrates, and lycopene needed to develop into a functional human."
"Personally, Spamaroni is ideal as our national dish. It does not require too many dishes to wash nor is it difficult to prepare. There are different ways to prepare it as well depending on the type of sauce, pasta, and Spam used. From a royal point of view, it is tasty and, importantly, the only dish I cook that Her Majesty The Queen will eat!" noted The Sovereign, His Majesty The King Andre I.
The royal recipe, a favorite of The Sovereign, His Majesty The King Andre I is as follows,
340 gram can of Spam with Garlic (any variety of Spam also acceptable)
200 grams of steak sauce (tomato sauce or basilico is also acceptable)
300 grams of fusilli (quadratini or macaroni are also acceptable)
175 grams of tomato sauce
a very generous pinch of crushed black pepper (not required when using Spam with Black Pepper)
Pour fusilli into pot with water and boil until soft, stirring to ensure consistency. Chop Spam and put in pan with oil. Flip and fry until browned or lightly burnt. Strain fusilli out of water, pour fusilli and Spam onto plate. Stir and mix in sauce. Add black pepper. Eat.
Serving size: 1, 2 for smaller or weaker individuals.
