KUNIGSGOROD - The Department of Culture of the Royal Kingdom of Trimblestan has selected the ushanka has the national headwear of the Royal Kingdom of Trimblestan. The Sovereign, His Majesty The King Andre I, spoke of the Department of Culture's decision. "As our national program to create a unique identity for our Royal Kingdom has been underway, we determined it was essential to create a style that shows our culture and strengths. The ushanka is a form of headwear suited to reasonably cold weather, which we have during our winter. The ushanka represents our weather but also our people who are strong-willed to bear our climate and the warmth of the hospitality shown by our citizens. We are utilitarian and the ushanka represents that by allowing two styles of use. With the ear flaps down, the ushanka keeps the wearer's ears and neck warm. With the flaps up, it shows that hard-working Trimblestaners need some air to stay cool or that, just as likely for our people, it isn't quite cold enough."
There is no requirement for citizens to wear or even own an ushanka. The Department of Culture considered various articles of headwear to be recognized as the Royal Kingdom's national headwear. Short-listed for selection were the baseball cap, tuque, and ushanka.
